We had our roof replaced by Worthman in February 2026. The problems started right from the start. They were supposed to have a supervisor on site the whole time. On day 1, when they started throwing down the debris and old shingles, they were hitting hardly a big window we had in the back. We immediately contacted the sales person (Chase Mixson) and we were told the manager is on site and will put plywood to protect the window (which they should have done in the first place to protect the property). After a while, nothing changed, so we contacted again. Same response, no result. We contacted again and asked to talk to the manager directly, but when I called him, it turned out he was not even aware of the job address (!!!) as he never showed up at our property because of his wife’s health emergency. So NOONE was on site until we brought this up. Then we were told someone was on their way with plywood to cover the windows. THEY NEVER RESOLVED THIS!!! The whole time they continued without plywood risking to damage the window,.
Next, when the job was finished, we were told they will swipe driveway with a metal detector to remove nails. However, when we walked out the day after job was completed, there were several nails all over the driveway which we had to remove and call again for them to check the area.
In May, we had flying bugs (love bugs and moths) rushing into the house through the bathrooms. For 13 years we lived in this house, we have not seen a single love bug get inside. After pest control company suggested that they were coming from bathroom ceiling fan exhaust vents and possibly drain vents on the roof, we contacted Worthman again. It turned out they installed goosenecks on the vents that had much larger holes in the cover grids than what we originally had. They never notified us during the replacement that there were differences in what was installed before and what they were planning to do now.
Before I explain what happened next, one more important issue. When examining the roof from outside for bug entry, we noticed that the DRYER VENT was MISSING! During the roof replacement, they covered the dryer vent opening on the roof, thus putting our property at risk for fire. For more than 3 months every time we used the dryer we were endangering our property without knowing about this issue. We notified them immediately to have this fixed, but this was an inexcusable negligence!
Back to the screen issue. For 2 months, I have been communicating with Chase Mixson trying to get a plan for installing proper screens on the vents. Of course, when you pay money (big money) you expect to have your questions answered before agreeing to any payment. It took weeks to get some answers, but when the quote it did not have enough detail and some of the questions remained unanswered before it was put together. Instead of providing clarification, we were told they feel it would be better for them to walk away from the job and they are sorry they wasted our time. Can you imagine this attitude? So they basically want you to shut up and pay the money without the right to get everything straight. Not only they failed to notify in time about differences during the replacement process and created this issue for us, not only did it took several weeks to answer simple questions, not only did they fail to properly install dryer vent, but now this attitude?
Not to mention also that on 6/10 we notified them that per their own final inspection pictures, there was a damage to one of the patio polls where debris was being thrown, but no one ever responded to this concern.
Altogether, I would describe this experience unsatisfactory. I would not recommend them to anyone, that’s for sure. Shame, as in the past with their inspections, I had better experience and it clearly did not translate into high-quality service.
